Former Director of Army Media and Communications to Drill Cloud Computing Start-up in Institutional and Government Markets
EDINBURGH, June 14, 2012 – Cloudsoft Corporation, a software innovator specialising in multi-cloud application management, today announced they have appointed Major General David Shaw CBE to their strategic advisory board. Shaw joins the board to help shape Cloudsoft‘s approach to government and institutional markets, and to provide guidance in media and communication.
Shaw completed his career in the British Army in 2012, having served as Director of Army Media and Communication, General Officer Commanding 2nd Division and Governor of Edinburgh Castle. His specialties include media and communication, leadership, change management and operations.

Major General David Shaw CBE completed a full career in the British Army in 2012, having served in a variety of operational and management posts across the world. He was appointed Director of Army Media and Communication in 2007 and, in 2009, General Officer Commanding 2nd Division and Governor of Edinburgh Castle.
Shaw’s specialties are media and communication, leadership, change management and operations. He has run multi-functional organizations, worked in the MOD’s equipment capability department and has taught Defence procurement and management.
He has a Cranfield Masters in Defence Administration and is a visiting Professor at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, focusing on strategic communication and leadership.
