AMP Components

Cloudsoft’s Application Management Platform is modular. In addition to enabling new cloud applications, AMP is designed to interface with and manage existing systems, whether they be open-source, proprietary or created in-house.

AMP is built on Cloudsoft’s recently released brooklyn project in combination with established open source projects Apache Whirr and jclouds.

Open Source Components

brooklyn provides automatic governance for running applications, enabling real-time elasticity and continual optimization of applications in line with your business and service policies.

jclouds enables applications to run unchanged on any number of clouds, eliminates lock-in and frees the business to pursue a multi-provider strategy.

Apache Whirr is a cloud neutral way of running cloud services, including complex clustered cloud services such as Hadoop.

Wide Scope for Integration

With Java and REST APIs available within the Application Management Platform, it is straightforward to integrate and autonomically manage other systems.

  • 30+ public clouds, including AWS, Azure, GoGrid, HP Cloud and Rackspace.
  • 4+ private cloud technologies, including Cloudstack, Openstack, ElasticStack and vCloud.
  • Full Webstack: JBoss Application Server, Apache Tomcat and Nginx Load Balancer
